This week I am going to be going over the first two Kings of Israel, Saul and David. You can find the stories of these two great men in the book of Samuel (both 1 and 2), for the sake of keeping this post shorter I will not be posting the whole story rather I encourage you to look up the stories and read them. I will be referencing specific scripture in the NASB translation, but encourage you to read whatever you most comprehend. First thing first lets look at Israel at the time leading up to this moment, they have been a nation composed of tribes that have been lead by prophets or judges (think like folk heroes with powers from God, but less cool. Good morning everyone, thank you for joining me again this Friday morning for another epiphany. I greatly appreciate y'all's support in the beginning off this blog and my hope is that it provides you with a new look at some of the questions we've all had about our faith walk. Today's focus is on the distinction between knowing God is good and believing He is. Lets be honest, we all know God is good my hope is that we can all believe God is good. I will be using the passage out of John chapter 10, where Jesus speaks on who he is to the pharisees, I would encourage you to read chapters 9-10 to get the full context. I will be using John 10:11-18 out of the New American Standard Bible as the main point, but I encourage you to read it in the version you best comprehend.
